פרופ' דורון נורמן

פרופ' דורון נורמן, מומחה לכירורגיה אורתופדית, משמש כמנהל המערך האורתופדי בקריה הרפואית רמב"ם. מומחה לניתוחי טראומה ושברים מורכבים, ניתוחי שורש כף יד, שחזור מרפקים ובמיוחד ניתוחי החלפת מרפק. בשנת 2008 מונה למנהל מחלקה אורתופדית ב' ומאז אוחדו המחלקות האורתופדיות בשנת 2012, הוא משמש כמנהל המערך האורתופדי ברמב"ם. בין השנים 2008-2014 שימש כיו"ר החברה לטראומה אורתופדית בישראל.

פרופ' נורמן הינו פרופ' חבר בפקולטה לרפואה של הטכניון, חבר באגודת AO ומשמש כמדריך בין-לאומי בקורסים לטיפול בשברים ויועץ לחברות אורתופדיה בינלאומיות.

פרופ' נורמן נמנה עם מייסדי חברה בתחום ה Med Tech בשם אורתוקרט – voyanthealth, העוסקת בתכנון ניתוחים אורתופדים. פרופ' נורמן היה אחראי על פיתוח קליני ואפיון התוכנה בחברה. בהובלתו פיתחה החברה תוכנה המאפשרת למנתחים אורתופדיים להכין לניתוח שתלים כגון עצמות גפיים, חוליות עמוד שדרה או מפרקים באמצעות כלי מדידה דיגיטליים, ומפחיתה באופן משמעותי הן את זמן הניתוח והן את זמן החלמת החולה לאחריו. החברה נמכרה לחברת בריינלאב - brainlab הגרמנית בשנת 2011.

פרופ' נורמן הינו בוגר הפקולטה לרפואה של הטכניון, ואת התמחותו עשה במחלקת אורתופדיה ב' בקריה הרפואית רמב"ם. בשנים 1996-1997, עבר השתלמות בבית החולים האורתופדי האוניברסיטאי בלונדון Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore.
