Adv. Ahuva Ticho, Founder and Owner

The firm’s founder and owner Adv. Ahuva Ticho, has 30 years of experience in the medical malpractice lawsuits field.

Ahuva’s career began in 1986 after her graduation from The Law School of Tel Aviv University, and since 1991 she accumulated extensive experience as she served in diverse roles in various entities and also enriched her formal education: in the 1990s, she served as an in-house legal counselor of Maccabi Healthcare and defended the latter in medical malpractice lawsuits. Most of her practice was in the field of medical malpractice lawsuits and she also served as a legal counselor to the HMO’s risk management. In this role she accumulated extensive knowledge and experience in medical malpractice lawsuits, patient’s rights, medical risk management and also contractual and business commercial transactions and employment relationships. Her next role was as the General Counsel of Ayalon Medical Risk Management (a subsidiary of Ayalon Insurance), where she handled the medical malpractice department. Simultaneously, she completed her LL.M. in Tel Aviv University.

Over the course of the decade she spent in those roles, Adv. Ticho developed professionals relationships with many medical experts - leading physicians - and gained an in-depth understanding of the nature of medical discretion, which is essential for the understanding of every case that arrives to the firm nowadays. In 2001, after a decade of counseling on behalf of the defence, Adv. Ticho opened her private firm from the deep understanding that the real fight isn’t in defending the healthcare institute, rather in supporting the patients who experienced medical malprac-tice and struggle for their life. She has been working and fighting for such patients for the past three decades. Be-yond her role as the firm’s owner, Adv. Ticho serves as the Chief Editor of the unique academic journal “Medicine and Law”, completed her Ph.D. in Bioethics and is a member of the National Pathology Council. She also has a mediation diploma from the Israeli Center for Negotiation and Mediation.

The “Defective Vaccine”

Over the past couple of years, the firm experienced significant success and lately it was appointed to file a mega-class action for a group of parents that their children were injured by the “Defective Vaccine”. The firm handles also two private lawsuits against the Ministry of Health and the Manufacturer of the vaccine, Sci-B-Vac, on the grounds of providing a defective, dangerous and harmful Hepatitis B vaccine.
