About Redis

Redis provides a competitive edge to businesses by delivering open-source and enterprise-grade data platforms to power applications that drive real-time experiences at any scale. As sponsor of the open-source Redis database project, the company leads and steers alignment across the community which includes individual contributors, customers, and partners to deliver solutions to technical challenges and maintain Redis’s enduring popularity. For five consecutive years Redis has been named “Most Loved Database” in Stack Overflow’s annual global developer survey and has been recognized in third-party research as the most popular database across a variety of infrastructure platforms including on AWS, to daily launches from Docker Hub, or running on Kubernetes.
Redis provides organizations with comprehensive enterprise-grade solutions to the need to process data, analyze it, make predictions with it, and act on the data they generate.
Redis Enterprise takes the speed and simplicity of Redis and adds enterprise-grade scalability, resiliency, and flexible deployment options. When combined in a single platform all those factors will ensure the real-time performance consumers expect of their apps at any scale, anywhere. Among Redis Enterprise’s advantage as a cloud-native database is it uniquely unifies data across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, multi-cloud, and global applications, offering customers the greatest flexibility to maximize their business potential. Redis is a pioneer in offering a fully managed Database-as-a-Service and is available on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, supported by go-to-market alliances with each cloud vendor.
Among Redis’ more than 8,000 customers areVisa, Twitter, MasterCard, Dell, Microsoft, FedEx, and many more.
Redis achieved unicorn status with the company’s Series F financing in August 2020 and is now valued at $2 billion USD following the latest Series G round in April 2021. The company has experienced revenue growth of over 54 per cent (CAGR) over the three years ended on 31 January 2021. Among its more than 8,000 customers 31 per cent are in the Fortune 100 and the company has a net retention rate greater than 120 per cent.
COVID-19 created unprecedented conditions that accelerated business investments in building applications that require real-time, intelligent data processing in the cloud. Redis became vital to its customers, partners, and community.
This success in the highly competitive database market led to Redis closing it’s most recent Series G financing of $110 million at a $2 billion valuation in April 2021. The round was led by a new investor, Tiger Global, and included participation by another new investor, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and existing investor TCV. Redis’s existing investors also include Bain Capital Ventures, Francisco Partners, Goldman Sachs Growth, Viola Ventures, and Dell Technologies Capital. Redis has raised $347 million to-date.
The company has continued to expand its ability to deliver solutions to meet the demand from companies in every market worldwide to scale their real-time application needs and to ensure success in the data-driven economy. In addition to growing its footprint in existing markets – North America, Israel, United Kingdom and Europe – Redis has invested in account and customer support teams in India and South Asia due to the tremendous popularity of open-source Redis in the region and fueled by the adoption of the cloud by developers in those markets.
As a global company operating in 10 countries across five continents, Redis values and encourages curiosity, diversity, and innovation from its employees, customers, and partners.
As an equal opportunity employer, Redis is committed to a diverse workforce.
