What recent key move did you lead?
Over the past year, I led a first-of-its-kind precedential ruling in the Supreme Court, concerning the exemption from betterment charges in the construction of sheltered rooms in new buildings. In this framework, I represented landowners who were charged betterment charges for the construction of sheltered rooms in new buildings. The precedential ruling set forth that in accordance with the phrasing of the law, the exemption of betterment charges in the "construction of a sheltered space" would apply both to construction as an addition to existing buildings and to construction as part of a new building. This issue has many significant implications from both the defense and economic aspects, whereas the desire to encourage the construction of sheltered rooms and the provision of economic incentives for that purpose was deemed to be the the ultimate interest in the ruling, regardless of the building's status as new or existing.

What are the firm’s strongest attributes?
The ability to match each client with the legal team that is right for him/her, and his/her needs and requirements, with direct involvement and mastery of every issue of the case by the senior partners.

Which of the firm’s recent key moves will lead to it becoming stronger over the next few years?
The firm's operations increase every year and its practice areas become more diverse. In addition to existing clients that have been following the firm for many years, we joined leading groups and businesspersons in the Israeli market to our existing clients.

What are the main challenges facing the firm in the next few years?
To maintain our familial nature, professionalism, and personal attention to the clients, and maintain our strengths despite the increase in the scope of operations.

What would you recommend an up and coming executive?
Align your expectations with those of your partners, don't compromise on the standard you set for the firm and the clients, and don't compromise on providing the best service even when the workloads increase.

What should one remember during hardships?
It's important to remember that you must also learn from the process for future cases, in order to understand your strengths and your weaknesses and how to handle them.
