About Ayelet Zaken Law Office
Ayelet Zaken Law Firm is a dynamic boutique firm committed to providing its clients with personal, professional, and dedicated service, alongside close, continuous support with high availability.
The firm provides a comprehensive legal framework in civil-commercial law, with a focus on litigation and ongoing legal counsel for companies, contracts, insolvency, financial rehabilitation, settlement negotiations, individualized debt arrangements (private and court-supervised), enforcement proceedings, legal debt collection, and correction of credit data and reports.
Financial Recovery as a Life Mission
The firm represents a broad spectrum of clients—from debtors at their lowest financial point to water corporations, private companies, and creditors seeking to recover debts. Its guiding approach is that most people are not “fraudsters” deliberately avoiding payment, but decent individuals caught in financial distress. The goal is to find the right tailored solution for each client—essentially crafting a “legal suit” that fits their circumstances.
A Profession Shaped by Personal Tragedy
The firm was founded on a rare combination of legal excellence and deep human understanding, shaped under difficult life circumstances.
Adv. Zaken is not only an attorney specializing in financial rehabilitation and debt arrangements, but a professional driven by a true sense of mission. Her path was shaped by a profound personal tragedy, making her approach deeply human and compassionate. For her, handling debt is not merely legal work—it is a life mission. After losing her late husband, who took his own life due to severe debt distress involving illegitimate creditors, Ayelet chose to transform that tragedy into a professional calling.
She operates from a deep commitment to ensure that no person stands helpless against the system. At the very least, she ensures every individual is heard and understands their legal options—so they do not feel lost and know that every situation has a solution. The knowledge that there is a way forward, a listening ear, and someone walking alongside them restores hope and calm.
Debt Is Not Just Numbers
Adv. Ayelet Zaken has been a licensed attorney since 2012. She holds an LL.B. (Dean’s Honors), completed mediation training, and holds an LL.M. and Directors Certification from Bar-Ilan University with highest distinction. She has always fought for her clients, treating every case as if it were her own. Since her loss, this commitment has deepened—she approaches every case as though she is saving her husband.
“In every client who enters my office broken and hopeless, I see a whole world. The goal is not just closing a case, but providing hope, financial recovery, and a second chance at life,” she says.
“I fight with the determination of someone who knows that debt is not just numbers—it is a real threat to the family unit and a person’s mental well-being. Each time I help someone rebuild their life, I feel as though I have saved my husband again.”
Hope and Practical Tools for a Better Future
Adv. Zaken helps debtors rebuild their lives at their lowest points, providing not only legal solutions but also hope and practical, professional tools—through close, step-by-step guidance.
At the same time, she assists creditors in recovering debts with determination and professionalism, while maintaining respect and responsibility.
She believes that when individuals fall into financial collapse, their sense of self-worth is deeply affected, impacting every aspect of their lives. Feelings of failure, disappointment, and shame disrupt clear thinking, making these matters deeply human—not just financial.
Her approach—whether representing debtors or creditors—is that most people genuinely want to repay their debts. The role is to find the right path to make that possible, as humanity is key to resolution—contrary to the common perception of non-paying individuals as “fraudsters.”
For debtors, she builds a protective legal framework that safeguards their dignity and creates a clear path to recovery. For creditors, she works decisively to recover debts, recognizing that respectful, creative solutions are the most effective path to repayment.
Listening, Empathy, and Sustainable Solutions
With this approach, whether representing a debtor or a creditor, Adv. Zaken listens carefully and works together with the client to find a solution they can realistically meet.
The result is mutual respect and a strong sense of commitment to fulfilling obligations.
Her experience shows this approach works—for both sides. Every case is a human story, and anyone can fall into financial distress. Whether due to illness, signing a guarantee for a family member, temporary loss of income, or a major client failing to pay—one difficulty often leads to another. Restricted credit can lead to family guarantees and even borrowing from illegitimate sources. Debts grow, and each day becomes a struggle for financial survival—affecting the entire household economically, emotionally, and psychologically.
Selected Cases
Ongoing legal counsel for a leading compost and soil rehabilitation company: debt collection through enforcement proceedings and legal actions, alongside contracts, litigation, and ongoing legal advisory work totaling over NIS 10,000,000 annually.
Corporate rehabilitation without formal insolvency proceedings: a transportation company with multi-million-shekel debt was rehabilitated through payment orders and individualized settlements with creditors, significantly reducing the debt and spreading payments into manageable terms.
Company collapse during reserve duty: a company with debts of approximately NIS 7,500,000 collapsed after its owner—personally liable—was called to reserve duty on October 7 and could not manage the business. A court-supervised debt arrangement was filed. Creditors agreed to 22% repayment over 60 installments, but due to prolonged reserve service (over 480 days), the client could not meet the terms, leading to insolvency proceedings.
PTSD debtor case: a debtor suffering from PTSD accumulated debts over more than 15 years. The firm filed for insolvency and immediate discharge; a zero-payment order was issued, and the case closed with full discharge and no payment.
Debtor with 51 enforcement cases: a client with 51 enforcement cases and debts exceeding NIS 4,000,000 approached the firm after a prior insolvency process was canceled. Through individualized creditor arrangements, she ultimately repaid only a small percentage of the total debt.
Recovery of unpaid legal fees: representation of a law firm against multiple clients who failed to pay legal fees totaling hundreds of thousands of shekels. All amounts were successfully recovered, including expenses and interest.
