Prominent Cases

Precedent Ruling - Plaintiff vs. “Clal” Insurance Company - Representation of a plaintiff in a compensation claim for bodily injury following a fatal car accident. The plaintiff, an only daughter, lost her mother (a single mom) in a tragic road accident just three weeks before the plaintiff’s military service. According to the defendant’s claim, the plaintiff had reached the age of independence when she began her military service. After managing a complex process, the office managed to prove that the plaintiff was dependent on her deceased mother until the age of 25, and a detailed ruling was issued, awarding compensation of nis1,200,000 plus interest and costs. This is a precedent-setting ruling, as established law dictates that a child under the age of 18 is dependent on their parents for support, and during military service, they are partially supported by their parents. The Magistrate’s Court extended the period of dependency on the parents, adopted and applied our argument, and noted the Supreme Court’s possibility of awarding compensation for the loss of support during the period of study for a bachelor’s degree and sometimes even for a second degree, and also allowing adult children to be classified under the definition of ‘dependent,’ if they prove that their livelihood - in whole or in part - is provided by their parents, even if they are capable of earning, and even if they have left home. In this case, the court determined that the plaintiff’s support was provided and presumed to continue at least until the completion of the first degree by the mother, even though she theoretically could support herself. “Hit and Run” Road Accident - The office represented a plaintiff in a complex and exceptional case, in which “Karnit” claimed he did not ask the details of the offending vehicle and did not complain to his doctors about the accident until a long time has passed. Despite the blanket denial of the accident by “Karnit”, thanks to the ministry’s support while building a proper strategy, the case concluded in a settlement agreement, in which the plaintiff received compensation in the amount of NIS 734,359. Car Accident without Mandatory Insurance - Representation of a plaintiff who drove a motorcycle without compulsory insurance and was involved in a road accident. The office filed a lawsuit and managed it until the mediation process was completed, resulting in compensation in the amount of NIS 2,139,9801. Hidden Damages vs. the State of Israel - The office represented a teenager who experienced bullying and social abuse at school from grades 2 to 6. The school failed to protect him and create a favorable social climate for him, and through a mediation process, he was awarded compensation in the amount of NIS 1,000,000. A Woman in Her Twenties Was Injured in a Work Accident When Her Dominant Hand Got Caught in an Ice Cream Production Machine - The office filed a claim with the National Insurance Institute’s work injury department, where it was determined that she was entitled to a monthly pension, and in addition, a claim was filed against the employer. The case ended in a settlement, and the plaintiff received a total compensation of nis 850,000. The Anesthesiologist Was Negligent, and the Patient Was Awake on the Table - The office filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against a hospital for an incident in which a patient was awake during the operation due to the negligent actions made by the anesthesiologist. The charges made by the prosecution left the hospital no choice but not to file a statement of defense, the claim concluded quickly and without having to conduct a legal proceeding, and with compensation in the amount of NIS 500,000.
