About Dr. Ayelet Ollech

Dr. Ayelet Ollech is a senior dermatologist with a subspecialty in pediatric dermatology. She serves as Head of the Pediatric Dermatology Service at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Education and Clinical Experience

Dr. Ollech combines clinical practice with extensive academic activity. She is a Senior Lecturer in Dermatology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she teaches medical students and residents and lectures at professional conferences in Israel and abroad. She also leads and participates in multicenter clinical research in pediatric dermatology.
She holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Bar-Ilan University (1999–2001) and an M.D. from Semmelweis University, Budapest (2003-2009).
Her residency in Dermatology and Venereology was completed at Rabin Medical Center – Beilinson Hospital (2012–2016). She subsequently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Ann and Robert Children’s Hospital in Chicago, USA (2017–2019).
In addition, she conducted clinical research in pediatric dermatology at Northwestern University, Chicago. Upon returning to Israel, she served as a senior pediatric dermatologist at Sheba Medical Center, and since 2024 she has served as Head of the Pediatric Dermatology Service at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

Dr. Ollech specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions in infants, children, and adults. Her expertise includes inflammatory skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, vitiligo, and acne; Infantile rashes; and infectious skin diseases including viral warts, molluscum contagiosum, fungal infections (including scalp infections), impetigo, and scabies.
She also treats skin lesions and birthmarks, including hemangiomas, vascular birthmarks (including port-wine stains), café-au-lait spots, congenital and pigmented nevi.
Her additional areas of expertise include hair and nail disorders (including alopecia areata), genetic skin diseases and rare congenital syndromes, cutaneous manifestations of systemic diseases, immunodeficiencies, and adverse drug reactions.
