Elbit Residences Ltd. (of the Elbit Imaging Group) is one of Israel’s leading residential development and urban renewal companies. Elbit Residences’ parent company, Elbit Imaging, started operating in 1996 as Elbit LTD’ medical imaging arm. In May 2023, it was acquired as a shelf company by the businessperson Eliyahu Knopfler, who currently owns its majority stake. Since 2023, the group has completed several major acquisitions, that include a large backlog of urban renewal projects. The acquired projects (mainly Pinui-Binui) include about 2,830 apartments in various planning and construction stages, across Israel: In Jerusalem, Lod, Bat Yam, Haifa, Ashkelon, Beit Shemesh and other major cities. In 2025, Elbit Imaging acquired full control of Tanya Israel, and the latter’s projects are currently listed under Elbit Residences. All of these projects are fully self-developed by the company on ILA-lands.
