What is the most significant action that you have recently led?
In recent years, I decided to diversify the company's activities and strive to build other engines of growth for the company in synergistic fields to the industrial concrete sector where M. Bar is positioned as a main supplier in the field in Israel.
Activities were expanded to the quarrying sector including equipment for crushing and processing – air compressors for drilling equipment, quarrying, and auxiliary equipment operated by air compressors , hydraulic hammers for mechanical diggers, and recycling and demolition equipment.
What are the company's most significant strengths in your eyes?
The company represents several major and quality international companies for the aforementioned equipment. The recognition and selection by the world's leading manufacturers of infrastructure equipment: Schwing-Stetter, Atlas-Copco, Mesto-Mineral of M. Bar Maintenance as their representative in Israel reflects the great esteem for professionalism and understanding of the sector that M. Bar Maintenance Ltd. has.
What are the main measures taken recently that will lead to the strengthening of the company in the coming years?
We recently concentrated all manufacturing processes under one roof in a large state-of-the-art building, adapted to customer needs in the Caesarea Industrial Park. Concentrating the management chain and manpower pool, command and control more closely together over the means of production allows additional streamlining in the company of production processes and service, a rise in production, shorter supply timetables, and obviously will contribute to the company's soundness and improve operational profitability.
What are the company's main challenges in the coming years?
The company has striven to position itself as a market leader in each of the segments that it has chosen to operate in the infrastructure sector. The quality of the equipment marketed by the company , the enormous support and great trust that it receives from the manufacturing companies that it represents, the quality of its employees, the financial soundness, the latest service and network systems, and the major trust from customers gives the company, has allowed the company to reach this target.
What advice would you offer a young manager who is starting out?
Vigilance, vigilance, vigilance! Patience, faith, and understanding what you do are the foundations required for success and building a business, knowing the market, knowing your weaknesses and strengths and of your rivals, know your business from close up and very important: go and learn "banking" and know the language of "banking" will make it much easier to grow the business, and your required financial needs.
What is important to remember in difficult times?
There is no such thing as good times and difficult times! Times are always difficult, period.
