Selected Cases

Representation of a woman in a high-intensity divorce dispute involving a house built by the former couple in a well-established kibbutz in central Israel (long marriage, three children) -
The husband was a kibbutz member; the woman joined later. The house was built prior to her membership at an investment of approx. NIS 1.3 million on kibbutz land, under a private construction agreement signed only with the husband.
The Regional Rabbinical Court in Tel Aviv rejected her claim to recognize the house as a shared asset. On appeal, the Rabbinical High Court partially accepted the claim, ruling “weakened co-ownership” and conditional reimbursement upon future property allocation. Due to the prejudicial outcome, a petition was filed to the Supreme Court (sitting as the High Court of Justice) seeking equal ownership. The case concerns rights in a renewing kibbutz - a relatively new legal issue with no clear precedent - and is still pending.

Representation of an elderly couple, beneficiaries under a will left by the husband’s brother, in opposition proceedings filed by other siblings seeking to invalidate the will on grounds of undue influence, involvement, and lack of capacity - Early in the process, the firm secured testimony from the deceased’s foreign caregiver prior to departure from Israel, supporting the clients’ position. The Family Court later appointed an expert to assess the deceased’s cognitive state at the time of the will. Proceedings are ongoing.

Representation of an Israeli father whose wife, a Mexican resident, abducted their daughter (now 6) to Mexico - Proceedings were initiated under the Hague Convention via the State Attorney’s international department. Initially, no information was available, but social media intelligence led to proceedings in Mexico. The mother filed an AMPARO action to halt the process. The firm coordinated with local counsel to advance the case. Mexican authorities have since located and arrested the mother; proceedings are ongoing.

Representation of a woman in divorce negotiations following the events of October 7 - The family resided in a kibbutz near Gaza; terrorists entered the home and severely injured a child and the woman’s parents. Negotiations are conducted under trauma, including issues relating to housing allocation rights in the kibbutz. The client refuses to return to the property, and the firm is working on alternative arrangements and future allocation rights.
