About Moran Samun - Law & Mediators Firm
Think Differently. Act Differently. Achieve a Different Outcome.
Crises do not break families. Unmanaged overload does.
Founded in 2007 by attorney and mediator Moran Samun, the firm practices family and inheritance law, focusing on complex crises: divorce, inheritance disputes, and the preservation of family wealth. Ranked by Dun’s 100 in Family and Inheritance Law every year since 2017.
A Family Crisis Is Managed, Not Just Solved
Divorce, inheritance, and family conflict are not legal problems awaiting a solution, but processes to be managed: time, emotions, and long-term decisions. A court can decide a case; it does not manage the crisis. Here, that management is the work itself - before, during, and after proceedings.
When ADHD Meets a Family Crisis
Much of the firm’s work involves families living with ADHD. In a crisis, ADHD is a real risk factor: one message can derail a whole day, documents pile up, and heavy decisions arrive faster than anyone can absorb. Israel’s Ministry of Health notes that relationship crises and divorce are more common among adults with ADHD - usually not for lack of love, but because of overload no one managed.
Under the strain of recent years, many without a diagnosis live with similar overload, and research is starting to see it: after October 7, young adults without ADHD showed a temporary rise in attention-related symptoms (Tel Aviv University, 2025). The CSC method was built out of this reality.
CSC Family Crisis Management: Connection. Security. Calm.
Developed by Moran Samun, the CSC method reduces overwhelm and gives clients back their capacity to decide. Connection - communication that separates feelings from facts. Security - structure, boundaries, and clear timelines. Calm - not serenity, but the absence of escalation.
Five principles guide every family crisis the firm manages: no decisions while overwhelmed; no negotiation without clear boundaries; stabilization before solutions; documentation before interpretation; and clear exit criteria for every stage.
How the Work Unfolds
Assessment. The first conversation maps what is at risk now: what is urgent, what only feels urgent, and which decisions must wait. The urge to “just get it over with” is often the costliest decision. It is also where fit is checked: those seeking revenge or a rubber stamp will not find it here.
Stabilization. The noise comes down first: ground rules for communication, interim arrangements for children and finances, and careful documentation. The next stage begins only when communication no longer escalates.
Strategy. A diagnostic meeting maps every dimension (legal, financial, parental, business) and sets the path, working with therapists, economists, accountants, social workers, and parent coaches, all managed from one place.
The path follows the situation, and can change midway:
• CSC Mediation, when both sides are willing: short focused meetings, plain language, and emotional regulation tools, built on the five-step F.O.C.U.S. model - Find the pattern behind blow-ups; Open a safe channel; Clarify the real need, emotion, or fear; Understand each side’s triggers; Shape solutions that work in real life.
• Protection, when the other side won’t cooperate. CSC is not softness: boundaries, written communication, clear protective mechanisms.
• Litigation, when the dispute becomes a contest over facts, evidence, and narrative - before civil and religious courts, in high-conflict cases.
After. After mediation, the firm stays involved for three months: signing an agreement is easy; making it hold is the challenge. After a judgment, the focus turns to implementation.
Family Risk Management
Managing a family crisis begins with managing family risk. Decisions made while overwhelmed can cost a family and its business for years, so the firm works in advance, with financial advisors, on intergenerational transfers, trusts, family charters, and governance of family businesses. The best time to build protection is before it is needed.
Practice Areas
Complex divorce, family businesses, support, and ketubah claims; parenting time and parental alienation, in Israel and abroad; wills, estates, and inheritance disputes; prenuptial and cohabitation agreements; guardianship and enduring powers of attorney; family mediation and arbitration.
AI That Reduces Overload
Moran Samun built AI-based tools to tame the pile of documents, messages, and decisions. Clients receive an organized written or audio summary of every meeting, documents written the way they process information, and prioritization tools - especially valuable for people with ADHD. For the team, AI supports systematic analysis and quality control. AI implements; people decide. No document leaves the office without human review.
A Personal Note
Going through divorce and living with ADHD myself showed me how differently family crises must be handled. Two decades in the field taught me the rest: people in crisis do not break from a lack of legal knowledge. They break from overload. What nearly broke me became my greatest gift, and my mission. Today I walk with others through the chaos of ADHD and family crisis - and help them grow out of it.
