About Nabil Ghrayeb, M.D.

Dr. Nabil Ghrayeb is an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist who has been serving since 2024 as the director of the joint surgery service at Rambam medical center, and between the years 2017-2024 he served as the deputy director of the Orthopedic Division at Rambam.

Dr. Ghrayeb specializes in hip and knee joints surgeries, and in particular in joint replacement, including anterior approach hip joint replacement, knee joint replacement surgery, partial knee replacement surgeries, robotic knee replacement surgeries, and partial hip replacement surgery.
In addition, Dr. Ghrayeb is an expert in revision knee and hip replacement surgeries and treatment of infections of prosthetic joints. Dr. Ghrayeb also specializes in treatment and surgery of orthopedic trauma of the hip and knee and in handling complications from hip and knee trauma, including hip and femoral neck fractures, and handling later stages of knee joint fractures.

Some of the hip and knee joints problems that Dr. Ghrayeb treats include osteoarthritis, knee or femur head necrosis, postoperative knee and thigh fracture treatment and joint preservation techniques.

Dr. Ghrayeb graduated from the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine, and afterwards underwent a residency in orthopedic surgery in the Rambam Hospital and a fellowship in joint replacement in the Western Toronto Hospital, Canada.
In addition, Dr. Ghrayeb completed a training in handling joint replacement revision surgeries, including infections, in the Endoklinik Medical Center in Hamburg, Germany, and numerous other trainings in leading centers across Europe.

Dr. Ghrayeb’s professional experience includes serving as a senior expert in the Orthopedic Unit of the Rambam Hospital since 2010, and as Deputy Manager of the unit since 2017.

Dr. Ghrayeb receives patients in the clinics of Assuta Haifa (Lev HaMifrats) in a clinic that treats a wide variety of patients for all of the aforementioned problems, including patients who suffer from degenerative and other problems of the hip and knee joints, including anterior hip replacement and knee replacement with cutting-edge prosthetics.
Dr. Ghrayeb also performs surgeries and preservation treatments for femoral head necrosis cases, advanced injections into the knees and thighs, and recommendation and guidance on ways to preserve these joints, and treats patients after hip and knee joints replacement surgeries who suffer from pain in these joints, and in complications from joint replacement surgeries.

Dr. Ghrayeb receives patients through the Maccabi HMO and the supplementary insurances of Clalit and Me’uhedet. Furthermore, he counsels and operates through agreements with Maccabi and Me’uhedet and with Israel’s leading insurance companies, including Harel, Migdal, Ayalon, Menorah, Pheonix, Bituach Yashir and more.

Dr. Ghrayeb lectures to orthopedics students in the framework of the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine and also mentors medicine students and coordinates the orthopedy course for occupational therapy students in Haifa University.

Dr. Ghrayeb lectures in professional conventions in Israel and abroad and is a principal investigator and co-investigator in clinical research in Israel and abroad.
