About Omer Belleli, Law Office

Omer Belleli Law Office specializes in the criminal field at all levels, especially in the area of white-collar crimes. Omer Belleli, the firm’s founder and owner, has over 10 years of criminal law experience and since he was certified as an attorney, has only dealt with criminal cases.

Prior to the establishment of his own law firm, Adv. Belleli worked as an attorney for about five years in a leading and recognized firm in the criminal and white-collar fields, so he has a deep understanding of the types of “white-collar” crimes and the special processes that are used in these cases by the State Attorney’s Office, the police, the courts, the probation service, etc.

Adv. Belleli provides legal representation to his clients in all courts and tribunals, such as the Magistrates’ Courts, District and Supreme Courts, the Military Court, Family Law Court, and Rabbinical Court (in criminal and privacy protection matters), Transportation, Release Committees, Administrative matters, among others.

Extensive Experience in Criminal and Disciplinary Proceedings

Adv. Omer Belleli has extensive experience in handling various criminal proceedings, such as release from detention (until the end of proceedings), counseling in investigations (open testimony and under warning), searches, restrictive conditions, release of seized assets, foreclosure proceedings, hearings, deletion of a criminal record and more. In addition, he has experience handling the investigations and hearings of the police’s internal affairs department, as well as representing police officers during disciplinary hearings. Adv. Omer Belleli also has experience handling, representing, and restoring revoked firearms licenses (in criminal cases).

Great Jurist who Gets to the Bottom of the Actual Circumstances of Every Case he Handles

Adv. Belleli is considered an expert jurist in every situation he handles. For each case, Adv. Belleli pays great attention to every aspect and attribute of the case, to make sure he understands the facts at the core and tailors the strategy to the client’s benefit. Since all the cases he handles are considered by him to be white-collar cases, whether small or large, the firm’s success rates are impressive. Adv. Belleli provides clients with personal service, close care, and dedication while paying attention to details, finding solutions to legal problems throughout the process, and catering to the client’s needs.

Representing People who Have Been Caught in a Criminal Proceeding

Omer Belleli Law Office focuses on representing normative people, such as those who have fallen and for whom crime is not a way of life. His goal is to achieve the best possible result for his clients, one that is tailored to their needs, and he represents them with reverence and a sense of mission. When working with his clients, he is first and foremost a person before he is a lawyer, and in many cases, he gives them a shoulder to lean on and emotional support that helps them go through the complex process with maximum peace of mind, and to discover the characteristics that led them to fall. Adv. Belleli refers his clients to counselors and professionals whenever he detects that they have a particular problem, whether it is an issue related to anger, alcohol abuse, or gambling.

Updates on Current Rulings and Guiding Laws Issued by the Courts

Adv. Omer Belleli is extremely knowledgeable about criminal offenses and the rulings that apply to them, and he keeps up with the latest rulings and guiding laws that come out of the courts on a regular basis. Over the years he has even reached a rare achievement - the Supreme Court ruled a binding law in a case in which he obtained an acquittal for a client. This case concerns a man who returned from Amsterdam with cannabis seeds and underwent an illegal search at the Israeli airport. In such searches, the police need to have a reasonable suspicion of conducting the search, and Adv. Belleli conducted the hearings in the magistrates’ and district courts where the client was convicted. In fact, from the beginning, Adv. Belleli intended to take the case to the Supreme Court, and when the case reached this determining tribunal, his appeal was accepted by the Supreme Court, and the judges ruled that the search of the client’s case was illegal. As a result of this ruling, millions of people who pass through Israel’s airports every year are spared unpleasant and illegal searches.
Another excellent example of Adv. Belleli’s distinction is in a case where he represented a man who worked for a large financial company and was suspected of stealing a sum of about half a million shekels. Despite the routine punishment in such cases of incarceration for a period of years, Adv. Belleli managed both to reach a financial settlement with the company in which his client was employed as well as to transfer the case to a community court. As a result, the customer spent no time in prison or performing service work. The cases presented here reveal the meticulous analytical capabilities, the creative thinking, the understanding of the human psyche, and the strategic-tactical thinking with which Adv. Belleli handles every case that he encounters.

Public and Volunteer Positions

Aside from running a law firm, Adv. Belleli is a judge in the Ethics Tribunal of the Tel Aviv District at the Bar Association, and he has also served for about a decade as a member (and for 3.5 years as co-chair) of HaLev association which provides legal assistance to the underprivileged throughout the country. He holds an LL.B. from the College of Management and in 2013 was certified as a lawyer.
His military service was done in Givati as a combat soldier after he insisted (received an exemption from military service as a result of a medical condition) to enlist. After serving as a combat soldier in reserve for more than a decade, he was appointed several years ago to serve as a legal advisor to the office of the military prosecutor, where he is an officer with the rank of major.
