About Pilars Steel Ltd.
Pilars Steel is a leading company specializing in heavy steel processing, welded piles, structural elements, special nets, and more. Founded in 2002, the company operates its production plant in the Karnei Shomron industrial area, where it processes over 2,000 tons of steel per month. The raw steel is processed into a variety of steel products tailored to customer needs and delivered to any location, nationwide. The company’s administrative offices are located in the village of Mashhad in the Lower Galilee.
Complying with the Highest Standards
Pilars Steel’s quality management system is certified under ISO 9001:2015, covering the bending and cutting of reinforced steel and the supply of construction elements. The company is currently in the process of implementing and integrating the national standard for steel reinforcement for concrete, cut and bent bars and nets, under the supervision and certification of the Israeli Standards Institution.
Prioritizing Our Customers
The company is committed to meeting strict delivery schedules according to customer orders, while maintaining increased production volumes during periods of high demand. Furthermore, the company provides financial flexibility by tailoring payment terms and credit limits individually for each customer, according to their needs and financial capabilities.
The Asalia Group
Pilars Steel is part of the long-established Asalia Group, a company that specializes in the import, marketing, and processing of construction steel, as well as comprehensive logistics and transportation services. The Group owns commercial land in the Zippori–Nof HaGalil industrial zone, where it is currently developing a commercial building designated for long-term leasing. Once completed, the Group’s headquarters are expected to relocate to this new facility.
The Asalia Group records an annual turnover exceeding NIS 500 million and employs more than 100 professionals, including production staff, drivers, dispatchers, engineers, and administrative personnel.
In addition to Pilars Steel, the Group includes the following companies:
Asalia General Trading & Transport Ltd. – Established in 1991, it is considered one of Israel’s leading companies in the import and wholesale distribution of construction steel, serving steel warehouses as well as major construction companies and private contractors.
Asalia for General Trading & Recycling Ltd. –Established in 2009, this company provides transport services for the Group and for external customers. It operates a fleet of about 20 trucks, trailers, and cranes.
Customer\ Supplier Relations
Customer\ supplier relationships exists between the Group’s companies, and no intercompany credit is extended beyond what is customary in the market. Accordingly, Pilars Steel purchases raw steel from Asalia General Trading and settles payments under standard market terms. Pilars then processes the raw material and sells the finished steel products to its customers, who pay according to their individual agreements (ranging from Net 30 to Net 120).
Pilars manages the distribution of its steel products independently through three dedicated, company-owned trucks, some equipped with cranes. These vehicles also provide external transportation services for various steel plants.
Recruiting Customers from Within the Group
Pilars Steel also collaborates with Asalia General Trading in its customer recruiting efforts. Some of its current customers used to purchase raw steel from Asalia General Trading, which in the past outsourced the processing work to external plants. By controlling the steel processing within Pilars Steel, one of the Group’s companies, the management gains full and tighter hold over the production process, ensuring that the company meets its targets, required production volumes, and customer delivery schedules.
