Prof. Dan Ben Amitai is widely regarded as one of Israel’s leading pediatric dermatologists, with more than three decades of clinical experience and a unique combination of expertise in both pediatrics and dermatology.

This uncommon combination enables him to provide a broader and more precise perspective on each patient—not only through the lens of dermatology, but through a deep understanding of pediatric and family medicine as a whole.

For 27 years, Prof. Ben Amitai served as Head of the Pediatric Dermatology Unit at Schneider Children’s Medical Center, where he played a key role in advancing the field, developing innovative treatment methodologies, and helping shape the next generation of dermatologists. Concurrently, he served as Deputy Director of the hospital.

For 23 consecutive years, Prof. Ben Amitai has been ranked among Israel’s top physicians in the field of Pediatric Dermatology (Maariv, 2002–2013; Forbes Israel, 2014–2024).
