About Prof. Dana Egozi

Prof. Dana Egozi is a plastic surgeon and director of the Plastic Surgery Department of the Kaplan Medical Center. Prof. Egozi specializes in burns, and she performs complex reconstruction surgeries, including microsurgeries for neck and head reconstruction, orthopedy and various breast reconstruction methods.

Alongside her public healthcare practice, she also owns a private clinic in Ramat HaHayal in Tel Aviv, where she offers a variety of professional treatments in the field of plastic surgery, including breast augmentation, breast reduction and lift, blepharoplasties, tummy tuck and facial lift surgeries, and variety of high-quality aesthetic treatments. All with meticulous medical diagnosis, professional counsel and personal service to every patient, responsibility and professional integrity.

Graduated with Honors from the Technion’s School of Medicine

Prof. Egozi graduated cum laude from the Technion’s School of Medicine (and also has a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the School of Medicine, with a doctoral thesis on “Enzyme Telomerase and The Cell Cycle Control System in Embryonic Progenitor Cells”). She underwent a residency in plastic surgery in the Plastic Surgery Department of the Rambam Hospital, and after completing her residency she served as doctor in the department and headed its burns unit.

Award-Winning Physician

Over the years, Prof. Egozi won various awards for her practice: the Hagai Tzur Award (2004) and the Kaplan Award (2007) of the Israeli Society of Plastic Surgeons. She participates in conventions on plastic surgery and burns treatment in Israel and abroad, and publishes numerous articles in professional journals and mainstream media.

She conducts research on wound healing in a burns model in large and small animals and muscle tissue and blood vessel engineering, and serves as senior lecturer in the School of Medicine of the Hebrew University.

Membership in Professional Associations

Prof. Egozi is an active member of various professional associations, including: The Israeli Society of Plastic Surgeons, Israel Society of Burns, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery.
