Notable Projects

Light rail works at the entrance to Jerusalem: The work included subterranean bridging and tunneling, demolishing a structure without damaging its architectural conservation status, shafts, building a bus parking area and development works, including the paving of a one-of-a-kind architectural street, all within an extremely dense urban texture. Despite these difficulties, Shoham worked to maintain the freedom of movement and minimize the impact on the residents’ lives.

Sports Complex, Jerusalem: In this complex, which is located near the Teddy Stadium and Pais Arena, Shoham executed a 240-meter light rail tunnel, and above it a superb urban park with an area of about 30 dunams, bike and bicycle trails. In addition, Shoham built in this complex a designed architectural building that includes outdoor and roofed tennis courts, squash and judo courts and a commercial center at the ground floor.

Construction works in the Western Wall’s plaza: These works included architectural conservation, with meticulous attention to the safety and convenience of the Western Wall’s visitors and worshippers. Shoham built the Western Wall Heritage Foundation building on a massive 400-ton steel structure which enabled architectural preservation and clearing the area and its archeological findings to visitor tours under the building. Shoham has executed additional buildings in the Western Wall’s plaza and tunnels, including the “Strauss House” in the northern part of the plaza, supports and shoring for the plaza as to enable the construction of an underground tourism and archeology level, infrastructures for the planned plaza lift, complex tunnel works including the construction of a subterranean synagogue, all under the limitations of construction in a complex archeological area.

Paving and development works at the entry and center of Jerusalem: Shoham executed numerous paving and development works in the city center and at its entrance, in a dense urban area with execution complexities. Shoham also executed numerous public landscape development works, including in Gan Sacher, the Valley of the Cross, the Rose Garden, Rupin Av., the neighborhoods of Pisgat Ze’ev and Har Homa and more.

Bridges, infrastructure and development works in the project of the entryways to the 1000 Complex in Rishon LeZion: Shoham is executing bridges, infrastructure and development works in this project, including the construction of three bridges above Ayalon Highway, including a 350-meter pedestrian bridge with a maximal span of 70 meters, integration of steel bridges and concrete bridges and installation of escalators and special architectural elements. The project also includes the construction of an exit bridge from the complex to Ayalon South, an entrance ramp from Ayalon South, a new cloverleaf ramp and expansion of the service road. The complexity of these works, which are executed in an urban texture, above active inter-city roads and next to railways, requires careful and accurate work on the one hand and fast execution within limited timeframes on the other hand. Works for Road 22 and bridges to connect between Har Hotzvim and Ramat Shlomo Interchange in Jerusalem: The works in this project included the construction of 3 bridges, including a 200-meter bridge above Nahal Zofim in the balanced cantilever method. in addition, works for the construction of retaining walls, new roads, connections to existing roads and bridges, underground pedestrian passage and final development.

Facilitation and expansion works in Road 60: Shoham is executing works for the expansion of Road 60 in the Elazar - Neve Daniel segment and in the Husan-HaShayarot segment. In the framework of the project, retaining walls are built in various methods (rock anchors, reinforced soil and more), underground drainage, infrastructures, road paving and landscape development.
