About Yshay Moyal Law Office & Mediation
Yshay Moyal Law Office & Mediation is a boutique firm practicing exclusively in the field of family law — a singular focus that has made it one of the most knowledgeable and experienced practices in this complex and sensitive area of law. With over a decade of practice, the firm specializes in representing clients before Family Courts, District Courts, and Rabbinical Courts in matters related to divorce proceedings, child support, parental responsibility, custody and visitation arrangements, and division of jointly held assets. The firm also handles wills and estates, including will contests, as well as issues relating to the welfare and needs of minors.
Practical Solutions That Work in Real Life
The firm focuses on crafting practical solutions that “work in real life,” rooted in the understanding that families do not fall apart — they transform. Adv. Moyal accompanies clients through the most difficult moments of their personal lives with dignity, empathy, and full professional commitment. His exclusive focus in family law equips him — both as the firm’s principal and as a representing attorney — with broad and deep knowledge of the latest case law and judicial precedents. His close familiarity with the judges in Family Courts and Rabbinical Courts provides a significant strategic advantage.
Advanced Expertise in Family Law
In recent years, Adv. Moyal has completed advanced professional training, certificate courses, and an LL.M. (Master of Laws) from Bar-Ilan University — all with a focus on family law and mediation, including two advanced courses in family law proceedings before Rabbinical Courts. Beyond his standing as an expert family law attorney, Adv. Moyal is a certified family mediator, providing him with extensive tools for resolving disputes amicably, when both parties are willing. Having gone through a divorce himself, Adv. Moyal has a genuine understanding of his clients’ experience, accompanying them with sensitivity and dedication throughout the process — and beyond.
Tomorrow Is the Starting Point
For Adv. Moyal, “tomorrow” represents the starting point of life after divorce proceedings — a juncture with significant personal, financial, and practical implications. His work as a family law attorney focuses on ensuring child support arrangements are fair and accurate, and that division of assets is equitable. His goal is to ensure the party he represents can support themselves and their children optimally, while rebuilding their life with dignity. During consultations, he asks clients how they envision “the day after,” and these goals serve as the compass guiding his strategy. For Adv. Moyal, a successful “tomorrow” is one where objectives set at the outset are achieved through the legal strategy he has built, proven effective in real-world application.
Notable Cases
Child Support Repayment Ordered Against the Mother — In a case litigated by the firm for nearly five years (from 2021), the court issued a rare ruling fully accepting all of the client’s (the father’s) claims. The mother was ordered to repay child support she had received after misrepresenting facts, to pay fair-use compensation for the jointly-owned family home, and to cover legal costs of NIS 75,000.
Petition to Void a Divorce Agreement — The firm represented a client against whom a petition was filed seeking to void a comprehensive divorce agreement. The proceedings, conducted in the Central District Family Court, included several opportunities for the petitioner to withdraw the claim. Following an evidentiary hearing and submission of closing arguments, the court is expected to rule.
Declaration of a Minor as a Child in Need — Proceedings initiated by the Department of Social Services in a southern city were conducted before the Youth Court in Petah Tikva. Adv. Moyal successfully persuaded the court to recognize the mother he represented as a full participant in decision-making regarding the minor, notwithstanding the child’s declaration as in need.
Will Contest — Proceedings filed against a client contesting a will drafted in her favor involved a substantial insurance policy payout and a guardianship claim over a minor. Mediation before a retired judge resulted in a settlement that received court approval.
Divorce Due to Mental Illness — A sensitive case in which Adv. Moyal represented a young man who developed a severe mental illness. The couple had two young children. After a long period, the mother initiated divorce proceedings. Through respectful mediation, the parties reached comprehensive agreements covering property division, parental responsibility, custody and visitation, child support, and arrangements for the paternal grandparents to maintain contact with the grandchildren.
