The 2018 Leaders in Law Forum
The forum, which was led by Doron Cohen, Dun & Bradstreet's Chairman & CEO, and hosted by Hen Ma'anit, Globes' legal affairs reporter, was held with the participation of 24 of Israel's top lawyers and law firms.
The discussion dealt with current topics, such as: the Israeli police's recommendations regarding the prime minister's affairs, where the Israeli democracy and legal systems are headed, refugee and migrant workers deportation, the Judicial Selection Committee as well as the politics of electing judges, and other relevant topics.
During the forum a "public appeal" was declared and included:
- A Joint declaration against the deportation of refugees and migrant workers from the State of Israel.
- The establishment of a joint pro-bono alignment for the leading law firms, focusing on assisting refugees and migrant workers.
- Calling upon the Israeli government to initiate and execute a solution for the settlement of refugees and migrant workers throughout the country, and incorporating them in various jobs.
The forum included a presentation by Efrat Segev, Dun & Bradstreet's VP Business Development, reviewing the sector as well as relevant data, and the Top 20 Law Firms ranking.
