About Carbyne

Carbyne: Every Person Counts.
Carbyne is setting a new standard for how the world responds to emergencies. Our cloud-native platform—built for speed, clarity, and action—uses AI to help emergency response teams move faster, see more, and make confident decisions when lives are on the line. Carbyne connects responders with real-time data, live video, multilingual transcription and translation, and intelligent tools that streamline complex workflows and enhance coordination.
Deployed across dozens of jurisdictions, integrated with leading public safety systems, and trusted to process over 250 million data points annually with 99.999% inbound 911 call handling uptime in the U.S., Carbyne delivers resilience at scale. With global reach and an unrelenting focus on impact, we help communities stay safer, better prepared, and more connected because every second matters, and every person counts.
Carbyne was founded in 2015 by four Israelis: Amir Elichai, CEO; Alex Dizengof, CTO; Yoni Yatsun, Architect; and Lital Leshem (not with the company since 2017). Since its inception, the company has raised over USD 200M from leading global investors and has top-tier clients worldwide.
Today, Carbyne operates offices in New York, Tel Aviv, Mexico City, and Lisbon, and employs over 230 talented professionals worldwide. Its R&D center in Israel includes around 80 developers, engineers, and corporate team members.

The problem we solve:

Emergency response teams face a challenging reality today. The legacy systems they’ve relied on for decades simply weren’t built to support 21st-century communities. From Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) to enterprise emergency operations centers, the heroes responsible for emergency response are handling more calls, navigating greater complexity, and managing higher risk, often with fewer people and outdated systems. Yet they’re still expected to respond instantly, coordinate seamlessly, and protect lives without fail.
Communities want faster, more transparent responses. Leaders want risk contained and liability reduced. But the people doing the work on the front lines and behind the screens are stretched to their limits. Whether leading a PSAP or managing an enterprise emergency response team, there’s a widening gap between what’s expected and what legacy systems can deliver.
It’s time to close it.

Where does Carbyne step in?

When every second counts, Carbyne provides emergency response teams with the clarity, coordination, and confidence to act quickly and protect lives. Built for today’s complex, high-pressure environments, our cloud-native platform unifies voice, video, location, multilingual support, and AI-powered assistance into a single view. Our platform helps emergency responders cut through the noise so they can operate at full capacity, even with limited resources.

Our Core Developments

The Carbyne Platform

Carbyne is a cloud-native platform for next-generation emergency communications that is modular by design, mission-ready by default. Each Carbyne solution delivers value on its own, but together, they are designed to enable faster response, smarter coordination, and more resilient operations across public safety and enterprise emergency response.

APEX: The modern nerve center for emergency response

Core capability: Next-Gen Emergency call handling and response coordination
APEX is a cloud-native platform built for speed, clarity, and action. It replaces legacy 911 systems with a unified call-handling interface that gives call takers access to real-time data, live video, precise location, and AI-powered tools—all in one seamless workflow. Designed to deliver full NG911 capabilities and resilient performance under pressure, APEX helps PSAPs respond faster, reduce cognitive load, and improve outcomes at scale.
• Real-time voice, video, chat, and device-based location
• AI-powered triage and call summarization (Event Assist)
• Live transcription and translation across 35+ languages
• Native CAD, GIS, and logging integrations
• 99.999% uptime for inbound call handling in the U.S. with built-in redundancy and failover
• Integrated workflows for emergency and non-emergency calls
• And more.

Universe: NG911 capabilities, delivered over-the-top, not on a forklift.

Core capability: Situational intelligence and real-time visualization, layered over the top
Universe modernizes legacy 911 systems without requiring a full replacement. It layers advanced NG911 capabilities like live video, AI-powered call triage, and precise real-time location on top of existing call-handling platforms. Ideal for PSAPs that need to upgrade quickly or incrementally, Universe accelerates response, enhances coordination, and brings modern functionality to today’s emergency response infrastructure. This is available through strategic partnership with AT&T.

Bridge Desk: The supervisory operating system for emergency communications.

Core capability: Interagency coordination and crisis collaboration
Bridge Desk gives supervisors and executives a unified view of emergency response operations across jurisdictions, helping them spot emerging incidents, track trends, and direct resources with greater precision. Built for high-pressure, multi-agency environments, it turns fragmented data into a shared operational picture that can drive faster decisions and improved outcomes.

AI-Powered Assistance: Built to ease the burden, not take the wheel.

Carbyne’s AI-powered tools enhance both 911 and administrative call workflows. Emergency Call Triage automatically surfaces critical details to help prioritize high-risk calls. Event Assist supports real-time note-taking and context tagging. Admin Assist streamlines intake on non-emergency and 10-digit lines. Together, these AI agents can reduce manual effort, lighten cognitive load, and help teams stay focused when it matters most.
• Automatically surface critical details to prioritize high-risk calls and speed response.
• Capture notes and context in real time to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
• Streamline 10-digit call intake to save time and maintain service quality.
• Integrated with APEX and Universe
• Designed to support responders, not replace them.
