What are the organization’s strongest attributes?
1. All of our food is rescued. We use only existing resources that we transfer from places where there is a surplus to places where there are shortages.
2. The impact of our work is broad: It has health, social, economic, environmental and educational aspects.
3. We are a learning and innovative organization which is attentive to market changes and our various stakeholders.
Which of the organization’s recent key moves will lead to it becoming stronger over the next few years?
Launching new and innovative projects that support our fundraising operations. Expanding the digital platforms for raising funds in Israel and using LinkedIn as the right tool for this purpose, in particular when working with business companies.
What are the main challenges facing the organization over the next years?
The main challenge is: to continue in our mission: to save all of the food surpluses and deliver them to the people who need them, while facing a challenging economic situation which makes things difficult from the donors community on the one hand and increases the community of persons in need on the other hand.
What would you recommend to an up-and-coming executive?
1. Learn and listen – the team is the fuel of your operations.
2. Customized Management – each employee has different needs and different motivations. Management should be personal and customized.
3.Open and sincere communication – compliment and empower at all times, and when instructing or criticizing do so in a respectful and constructive manner.
4. Do not be afraid to make changes to your personnel.
What should one remember during hardships?Everything is dynamic and nothing remains static for long.
