Throughout the years, Adv. Yaslovitzh has handled numerous high-profile criminal cases, with the Ayia Napa Boys Case becoming one of the firm’s most widely recognized matters.

Specializes in Representing Israeli Detainees Across the Globe

Over recent years, Adv. Yaslovitzh has represented Israeli detainees worldwide and provides legal support to Chabad’s Aleph Institute, which assists Israelis arrested abroad. His international practice began with an organ trade case in Cyprus and continued with several prominent cross-border criminal matters.

As a result of his extensive international experience and professional relationships with prosecutors and law firms worldwide, particularly in Cyprus, the firm has established strong international legal connections, including an additional branch in Cyprus.

The Ayia Napa Affair - Adv. Yaslovitzh gained reputation mainly due to the Ayia Napa Boys Affairs where he represented 4 of the main suspects of raping the British young woman, who was also a guest in the hotel where they stayed in Cyprus. Adv. Yaslovitzh’s impressive ability to handle a completely different legal system, international media pressure and the ongoing briefing of the boys’ families in a sensitive and compassionate matter, proved themselves completely, and at the end of the day he managed to turn the tide, despite of all of the surrounding pressures, and lead to the full acquittance and the return home of the four affair’s “heroes”.

The Akunin Couple’s Arrest in Turkey - Adv. Yoselevitz also represented Natalie and Mordi Akunin, the Israeli couple who were arrested in Istanbul for taking photographs of the President’s castle, and were accused of political and military espionage. After Adv. Yoselevitz improved their arrest conditions, he met them in the jails in which they were held, Mordi Akunin on the Asian side of the city, and Natalie Akunin on the European side, and tried to bring about a spirit of hope. The Akunin couple were released from the Turkish prison. The Israeli Prime Minister and the Turkish President were involved in the matter, and after the couple’s release an assumption was made, according to which this event may result in the improvement of the Israel-Turkish relations. After the release of the Akunin couple, Adv. Yoselevitz personally met the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr. Naftali Bennet.

The Release of Dudi Ashkenazi in Greece - Adv. Yaslovitzh represented Dudi Ashkenazi, who was arrested in Greece in 2022 as per the request of the Government of Peru due to drug charges, as per an international arrest warrant issued by the Interpol, due to alleged drug crimes in 2012 in Peru. After 38 days, Ashkenazi was permitted to leave Greece immediately, and all restrictions were canceled. Adv. Yaslovitzh thanked the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice, who were involved in Ashkenazi’s release.

The Release of Lia Kopel in Greece - Adv. Yaslovitzh also represented Lia (Lirai) Kopel, a woman in her 60’s, who was arrested in Greece due to an international arrest warrant issued by the Interpol, regarding a divorce-related dispute with her ex-husband. Kopel left the USA with her children about 8 years ago, while they were minors, claiming that they suffered from domestic violence. The father claimed that she abducted her children. Kopel’s release was achieved after an appeal was submitted regarding the USA’s extradition request, claiming that she had done nothing to justify the request for her extradition.
The international profile of this event, and the required discretion throughout the case, positioned the firm as a leading and high quality law firm.
