What is a significant move you have recently done?
A particularly complex construction evacuation led by his office in the Yoseftal neighborhood in Petah Tikva. Following the office's activities, the municipality promotes a new detailed plan for the old neighborhood, dividing it into ten different urban renewal complexes. Shay's office represents 136 apartment owners in two of the complexes: "We are currently in an advanced stage of depositing, and we believe that in about two years, the detailed plan will be approved. There will be a triple multiple of 3.4 and hundreds of new housing units. Today the neighborhood is defined in a very low socio-economic status and it will become one of the developed neighborhoods in the city. In its vicinity, the new Sirkin neighborhood will be built, and together they will constitute an urban development lever. We began the process in 2012 and after consolidating the apartment owners, the municipality of Petah Tikva took upon itself to promote the process. We are, in fact, the pioneers who directed the municipality to mark the neighborhood as a high priority for urban renewal and raised the issue on the municipal agenda".
What are the significant strengths of the company to you?
The strengths are characterized by five main strengths: professionalism and expertise, personal and dedicated service, creativity and thinking outside the box, integrity and professional ethics, and results. An experienced and skilled team, deep understanding of the laws, personal and warm relationship, finding innovative solutions, constant activity for the benefit of the residents, and many success stories - these are the cornerstones of success in this complex field. Such an office will provide you with the professional guidance needed throughout the entire process, while ensuring your rights and achieving the best results for you.
What are the main challenges of the company in the next few years?
The main challenges in our field are: a shortage of qualified personnel, and cooperation between various entities. Coping with these challenges will require a joint effort of the government, local authorities, entrepreneurs, residents, and lawyers. Cooperation, creativity, and commitment will enable us to overcome the challenges and realize the tremendous potential of urban renewal in Israel.
What are your recommendations for a manager at the beginning of his path?
As an experienced manager, I recommend that you get to know your team, trust them and delegate authority, be an inspiring leader, provide constructive feedback, be available and supportive, be attentive and open to learning, and maintain a balance between work and personal life. Remember, management is not an exact science, you will make mistakes and face challenges, do not despair, learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward. I believe in you and your skills. Good luck!
What is important to remember, even in hard times?
In tough times, remember that it is temporary, and you have the strength to cope. Do not hesitate to seek help, and always focus on the good things. Maintain hope, health, and seek professional help if you need it. Difficulties are an opportunity for growth, so emerge from them stronger and wiser.
