Israel Business Excellence Event 2016
Dun & Bradstreet Israel and Globes have been covering the Israeli economy for decades, and this year again, they continued the Dun's 100 tradition, and handed out awards recognizing the leading companies for their activities and business excellence.
Awarding the Dun's 100 Mark of Excellence, which began in 2005, is a salute and demonstration of appreciation to business excellence and endeavor in Israel. At the gala event for business excellence in Israel, which took place on May 29 at Tel Aviv Museum, Dun & Bradstreet and Globes paid tribute to five excellent companies that moved the Israeli economy forward over the past year, leaving their mark on it, reported exceptional business results and had a substantial influence on the Israeli economy. In addition, for the first time as part of the event, prizes for excellence were awarded to three companies for their business leadership for society, in recognition of their activities at the business and social level.
Another innovation this year, as part of the ceremony, was awarding the "Pioneering Woman Award" to Liora Ofer in recognition of her exceptional business and social activities and her many achievements over the years.
As every year, the event culminated in the award of the Dun's 100 Lifetime Achievement Award, a prestigious award that is bestowed in recognition of exceptional business activities over many years and for a life's work. This year the Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Dr. Yossi Vardi.
The winning companies were chosen by a panel of judges comprised of previous winners and key figures in Israel's business leadership. The companies were chosen from those ranked by Dun's 100 over the past year. with a focus on companies that stood out and have reported excellent and leading business results over the years.
The companies were chosen while taking into account the following criteria: leadership in an industry/sector over the years; solid management; unique strategic measures; entry into new fields and breaking into new markets over the past year; major/leading employer in the economy and representing a model worth imitating; social and environmental responsibility; strategic perspective and long-term vision; impressive business results; and positive, image and economic influence on the economy.
