About Olenik Group

Olenik Group is one of Israel’s longest-established and leading engineering, infrastructure, construction, and development groups.

Since its establishment more than five decades ago, the group has led large-scale national projects and served as a key partner in the development of Israel’s infrastructure, transportation, industry, and construction sectors.

The group operates under an integrated model that brings together a broad range of activities under one roof, including transportation infrastructure, earthworks and development, road paving, bridge and interchange construction, water, drainage and sewer systems, underground and above-ground infrastructure, civil engineering, marine engineering, residential construction, commercial, industrial and logistics facilities, logistics centers, land transportation, heavy engineering equipment, energy and environmental services, construction waste recycling, contaminated soil treatment, friable asbestos removal, hazardous materials management, real estate development, and the planning and execution of complex projects for both the public and private sectors.

The unique strength of Olenik group lies in its ability to provide clients with a comprehensive solution under a single point of responsibility. Supported by independent engineering, execution, and logistics capabilities, the group accompanies projects from the planning and initiation stage through execution and delivery, maintaining full control over processes, operational flexibility, adherence to schedules, and some of the highest standards of quality and safety in the industry.

The group was founded by the late Eliezer Olenik, who immigrated to Israel after losing his family in the Holocaust, fought in Israel’s War of Independence, and after his military service began his career with a single truck transporting earth materials. Driven by Zionist values, integrity, perseverance, and a commitment to building the country, the family business grew into one of Israel’s leading infrastructure and engineering groups. Today, the group is managed by members of the second and third generations, who continue the founder’s legacy while combining decades of experience with innovation, professionalism, and a long-term strategic vision.

Olenik group holds an unlimited contractor classification license for civil engineering works in all registered disciplines, recognition as an approved contractor for government projects, supplier registrations with the Ministry of Defense and the Israel Electric Corporation, international quality, safety, and environmental certifications (ISO), a license for friable asbestos works, and designated permits for the treatment and transportation of hazardous materials. These capabilities place the group among the few companies in Israel capable of executing complex multidisciplinary projects while providing a comprehensive professional solution.

Infrastructure is the core area of the group’s operations. The company performs large-scale earthworks, road construction, interchange and bridge projects, transportation infrastructure, railway infrastructure, water, drainage and sewage infrastructure, complex concrete works, urban development, and national infrastructure projects. At the same time, the group has significantly expanded its activities in recent years into construction, logistics, industry, and development, carrying out residential projects, public buildings, industrial facilities, logistics centers, and commercial complexes, both as a contractor and as a developer.

In the field of marine engineering, the group has accumulated extensive experience in the construction of breakwaters, marine structures, coastal works, and port development projects, with the underwater barrier at Zikim being one of its most recognized projects. In the fields of environmental quality and green energy, the group leads projects involving construction waste recycling, site rehabilitation, contaminated soil treatment, friable asbestos removal, and the rehabilitation of industrial sites as part of its commitment to sustainable construction and environmental stewardship. Among these projects is the Jaffa Slope recycling project, considered one of the largest recycling initiatives in the Middle East, through which Olenik recycled more than one million cubic meters of material. The group has also executed complex projects for Israel Railways, the defense industry, the Environmental Services Company, and additional public-sector entities.

The transportation and logistics sector, from which the group originated, continues to be a significant growth engine. The group operates a large fleet of trucks, heavy-equipment carriers, cranes, low-bed trailers, heavy engineering equipment, and advanced transport systems, enabling the execution of complex logistics operations throughout Israel, including oversized cargo, heavy equipment, and hazardous materials. In addition, as part of Israel’s emergency preparedness framework, Olenik mobilized its fleet and equipment to support wartime efforts along the country’s borders.

One of the group’s key advantages is its independent execution capability. The group employs more than 400 people, including engineers, project managers, skilled professionals, heavy-equipment operators, drivers, administrative personnel, and foreign workers engaged in a variety of construction activities. This workforce provides extensive execution capabilities, high availability, and operational flexibility, even on Israel’s largest and most complex projects. Alongside its human capital, the group owns advanced heavy engineering equipment, an independent logistics system, garages, metal fabrication facilities, and advanced maintenance and operational infrastructures, enabling full control over every stage of project execution.

Throughout its years of operation, Olenik group has participated in the delivery of hundreds of projects across Israel. Major projects completed in recent years include the expansion of Highway 85 in the Carmiel region, the construction of Highway 444 crossing Tayibe, the construction of Highway 38 in Beit Shemesh using the Design & Build method, the paving of Highway 461 in Mesubim, and the execution of key sections of Israel Railways’ Eastern Railway Project.

The group is currently leading a series of strategic projects, including the renovation of the Feldman Resilience Center in Netanya, the construction of the Gezer Interchange as part of the new entrance project to the Ofek Rahav complex, the construction of the Somekh Interchange as part of the Nofit Light Rail project, concrete rehabilitation works for the Israel Airports Authority, and additional transportation, development, infrastructure, and construction projects throughout the country.

The group’s clients include government ministries, government-owned companies, defense organizations, local authorities, public corporations, and many of Israel’s leading companies and institutions, including Netivei Israel, Netivei Ayalon, Israel Railways, NTA Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd., Cross Israel Highway Ltd., the Israel Airports Authority, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Construction and Housing, the Environmental Services Company, and additional public and private-sector entities.

Alongside its business activities, Olenik group continues to uphold the founder’s values and has, for many years, supported communities, IDF soldiers, the healthcare system, disadvantaged populations, young athletes, educational institutions, and Holocaust remembrance initiatives. Social responsibility forms an integral part of the group’s organizational culture and reflects its belief that business success is also measured by its contribution to society and the State of Israel.

Today, Olenik group continues to expand its operations and lead significant projects in infrastructure, construction, energy, environmental services, and development. The combination of more than five decades of experience, professional strength, independent execution capabilities, high-quality human capital, advanced equipment, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence positions the group as one of Israel’s leading engineering and execution groups and as a strategic partner in delivering the country’s most important infrastructure and development projects.
