Dona is a development and contracting company in the real estate sector, with the highest classification given to contracting companies by the Ministry of Construction and Housing. Dona Group is one of the largest real estate companies in Israel and is involved throughout the process, from land purchases and tenders to initiation and planning of projects to execution, delivery, inspection, and customer service.
The company was founded in 1991 by engineer Shalom Shai, a contractor, and entrepreneur with decades of professional knowledge and experience in the construction industry, and its current executives are Shalom and his wife Natella. Since its inception, the company has won tenders for the construction of housing units in projects in many localities throughout the country, including Modi’in, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Rosh Ha’Ayin, Petah Tikva, Harish, Afula, Kiryat Gat and others. Dona has built, and continues to build,a variety of projects, including thousands of residential housing units, shopping centers, office buildings, and public buildings. Various cities and towns around the world are adorned with housing neighborhoods and structures built by Dona. With over 30 years of experience, Dona has designed and built about 16,000 housing units across the country at the highest level of safety and quality.

Group Structure

The Dona Group includes the main company Dona Engineering and Construction Company Ltd., which carries out residential projects for sale as part of the “Mechir LaMishtaken” program, as well as four subsidiaries: Dona Shai Properties - which handles the group’s commercial properties throughout the country; Dona Dom - a development and executive company that centralizes all the apartments rented by the group and builds for the government company “apartment for rent”; Kal Chen Holdings - manages commercial properties and common areas, and Dor Amal - an employment agency which provides foreign workers to the Israeli construction industry. In 2012, Dona began international operations in Europe, primarily in Romania and Georgia. Among its construction projects is the impressive construction project “Dona Palace” in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

Recent Prominent Projects

As of today, Dona has completed 2,170 housing units in the Moreshet neighborhood in Modi’in (to date, it has built the most housing units in the city), And about 3,000 sq.m. The new neighborhood is already populated and provides educational and commercial services, parks and playgrounds for the enjoyment of thousands of families. The company is close to completing the construction of 156 housing units in the “Dona Exclusive” project - luxury residences in Ramat Beit Shemesh A, and close to completing the construction of 1,000 housing units in the Carmei Gat neighborhood. In addition, the company is now building about 2,000 housing units in new projects – 270 housing units in the “Dona Perfect” project in southern Beit Shemesh, close to the “Big” complex and the railway station. 305 housing units in the “Dona Top” project in Neot Peres in Ramla, with part of the apartments designated for rent.
680 housing units in “Dona Elite” project in Kiryat Elimelech, in Modi’in Ilit. 247 housing units in “Dona BaPisga” – in Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood with offices spaces and commerce on the light rail route.

In addition, construction of about 200 housing units remain for the completion of a 1,000-housing-unit project in Carmei Gat, which in large part has already been finished and populated.
About 2,054 housing units are in planning stages, in the cities of Ashkelon, Ashdod and Lod, some of which are designated for long-term rent.
