About Palo Alto Networks
Palo Alto Networks, the world’s cybersecurity leader is shaping the cloud-centric future with technology transforming how people and organizations operate. Our mission is to be the cybersecurity partner of choice, protecting our digital way of life. We help address the world’s greatest security challenges with continuous innovation that leverages the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, and orchestration. By delivering an integrated platform and empowering a growing ecosystem of partners, we are at the forefront of protecting tens of thousands of organizations across clouds, networks, and mobile devices. Our vision is a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. Over the years, Palo Alto Networks has significantly invested in acquiring Israeli startups and sees Israel as a significant focus for the company’s growth. In 2014, the acquisition of Cyvera marked the beginning of the Research and Development Center activity in Israel. The research teams at the company’s R&D center in Tel Aviv are focused on developing strategic products across the company’s three cybersecurity platforms: Network Security, Cloud Security, and Security Operations. They also provide cybersecurity services through Unit 42. Most of the next-generation security products are developed in Israel, which is expected to continue to be the company’s main growth engine. The Research and Development Center in Israel is continuously growing and expanding. Currently, it employs around 1,500 people and is expected to continue expanding, with plans to fill 200 open positions. Additionally, the center will take on more floors in the Alon 1 building to accommodate this growth.
Palo Alto Networks was founded in 2005 by the Israeli entrepreneur Nir Zuk, in order to build a cyber security platform that knows how to integrate with more and more cyber security functions - so that the number of suppliers that customers work with is reduced. In addition, the company prefers to innovate even when disrupting existing products. This approach allows it to continue to innovate - despite its size.
At Palo Alto Networks, we’re committed to bringing together the very best people in service of our mission, so we’re also proud to be the cybersecurity workplace of choice, For the past five years, Palo Alto Networks has been ranked among the best companies to work for by DUNS100 In Israel. Palo Alto Networks is an employee-centric company that believes in flexibility and choice and encourages innovation, integrity, and transparency.

By combining network security with threat intelligence and advanced analytics, our technology streamlines routine security tasks, automates defenses, and helps prevent incidents before they occur.

Trends in the Field of Activity:
In a time of macroeconomic shifts, geopolitical uncertainty, the continuation of hybrid work, and an accelerated transition to the cloud, attackers continue to advance. Globalization and digitalization are moving much of our daily activity into the cloud: email, mobile applications, video conferencing, even podcast platforms, creating new opportunities for cybercriminals to exploit vulnerabilities in this rapid digital shift. Their goals are clear: disrupt systems, steal information, and obtain critical data. Institutions in Israel and around the world are experiencing cyberattacks of growing intensity and frequency. Rapid developments in AI, particularly large language models (LLMs), are giving attackers advanced capabilities that amplify this trend. As a result, cybersecurity has become a top priority in boardrooms worldwide. There is no doubt that attacks will continue to grow more sophisticated, and businesses must understand what countermeasures are relevant to respond effectively and ensure resilience both now and in the long term. Palo Alto Networks provides consistent and comprehensive protection across network, cloud, and mobile environments, detecting breaches and vulnerabilities at every stage. By delivering the next generation of cybersecurity, network security, cloud security, and enterprise SOCs, we help organizations stay ahead of an evolving threat landscape. Our commitment is to provide a seamless security experience that delivers meaningful, lasting value to our customers.
